Guidelines and Security Tips for the coming Christmas Holiday

As we approach Christmas and the Holiday period, Epsilon Security would like to share our recommendations for safety and security to all our clients who consider closing their businesses / private residence during this period:

  1. Businesses & Factories:
  • Make sure to secure sensitive information, lock all cash and cheques in a Safe and lock all cupboards and drawers.
  • Make sure to secure and lock all windows and access doors.
  • It’s important to inform your security company if your business will be closed, and update contact details and telephone numbers for a quick response in case of an emergency.
  • It’s important to inform your security company if any employee given special access rights to enter the business during the holiday period.
  • If an alarm system is installed in your business, make sure it is set and armed. It’s recommended to nominate a designated worker, who is familiar with the access code to the alarm system, so we could disarm it if needs be.

  1. Private Residence:
  • Make sure to lock and secure all valuable items.
  • It is important to inform your security company on the specific dates when you will leave and return to your property.
  • Make sure to provide your security company with details of a designated contact person who has keys and access codes to enter your residence.
  • Make sure all gates, doors, access paths and windows locked and secured.
  • Make sure to arm your alarm system when leaving the house.
  • We recommend keeping lights on inside one of the rooms, as well as a radio or Television set, until you return home.
